About this role

Ten (10) years of executive experience leading enterprise-scale data and analytics organizations or programs, demonstrated experience establishing and operating enterprise data governance, demonstrated experience applying advanced analytics, artificial intelligence, predictive analytics, or related capabilities The work requires knowledge of, or skills and abilities related but not limited to the following: Algorithms Application of fact-finding and investigative techniques Artificial intelligence Big data principles Communicate findings both orally and in writing Computer science Data analytics Data modeling Data governance Data visualization Machine learning Mathematics Optimization Methods Programming languages Simulation Statistical methods and techniques Strong understanding of statistical concepts and methodologies is crucial.

Proficiency in statistical techniques such as regression analysis, time series analysis, hypothesis testing, experimental design, and multivariate analysis is required. Proficiency in programming languages commonly used for statistical modeling is essential. This may include languages such as R, Python, STATA or SAS. Knowledge of data manipulation, visualization, and modeling packages/libraries. Knowledge of business operations, specifically retail operations, and theories, principles, and practices to complete difficult assignments relative to planning, developing and implementing strategies throughout Marine Corps Exchanges, Marine Corps Hospitality Services, and Marine Corps Community Services.

The ability to think critically, propose creative solutions, and adapt modeling approaches to different scenarios is highly valued. Exhibits knowledge of the MCCS mission, functions, and programs to provide expert advice and guidance on strategies and the impact to initiatives of legislation, policies, regulations, procedures, processes, systems, and business partners have on the implementation and relationship to Marine Corps, DoD activities and private industry.
