About this role

Basic Requirement: You must provide supporting documentation in your application to show you meet the basic requirement below. 1. Degree: biological sciences, agriculture, natural resource management, chemistry, or related disciplines appropriate to the position. or 2. Combination of education and experience: Courses equivalent to a major, as shown in A above, plus appropriate experience or additional education. Experience: You qualify for the GS-13 grade level if you possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as: Collecting, evaluating, and analyzing data and intelligence on agricultural and biological threats Using automated tools and databases to identify suspected agro/bioterrorism, smuggling, and emerging threat trends Producing intelligence reports, link analyses, and recommendations for leadership and operational actions Providing guidance and training, communicating intelligence and enforcement information Monitoring methods and quality of services provided to customers NOTE: Your resume must explicitly indicate how you meet this requirement, otherwise you will be found ineligible.

You must: Meet all qualification requirements, including education if applicable to this position, subject to verification at any stage of the application process; and Meet all applicable Time in Grade requirements (current federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade or equivalent grade band in the federal service) by 09/18/2026.
