About the Opportunity We are looking for a Calypso Business Analyst / Functional Analyst to join a newly established team supporting the Capital Markets ecosystem of a major European banking institution. This is a unique opportunity to become part of a strategic initiative aimed at building a brand-new team from the ground up.
The team will be responsible for supporting, enhancing, and evolving critical Capital Markets operations and systems, with a strong focus on the Calypso platform. You will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, helping to translate business requirements into functional solutions while contributing to the continuous improvement of trading, risk, and post-trade processes. The position offers long-term stability, exposure to complex financial products, and the possibility of future internalization with the end client after a successful collaboration period .
Key Responsibilities Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements related to Calypso. Collaborate with Front Office, Middle Office, Back Office, Risk, and Operations teams. Translate business needs into detailed functional specifications and user stories. Participate in the design and implementation of Calypso enhancements and new functionalities. Support incident analysis and resolution in cooperation with technical teams.
Facilitate communication between business stakeholders and development teams. Assist with testing activities, including SIT, UAT, and production validation. Contribute to process optimization initiatives across Capital Markets operations. Support system upgrades, releases, and platform transformation projects. Required Skills & Experience 3-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst within financial services. Previous demonstrated experience working with the Calypso platform.
Strong understanding of Capital Markets products and trade lifecycle processes. Experience gathering and documenting functional and business requirements. Ability to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Knowledge of Front Office, Middle Office, Back Office, Risk, or Operations workflows. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication skills in English: C1 proficiency Nice to Have Exposure to derivatives, fixed income, FX, equities, or money markets.
