Remote
Business Development Representative (BDR) - US
About this role
About the Role We are seeking an outbound-focused Business Development Representative (BDR) to build our US market as our first US-based business development hire. Through cold calling, personalized emails, LinkedIn and consistent prospecting, you will open conversations with pharmaceutical manufacturers, biotech companies and CDMOs across the United States, and turn them into qualified discovery meetings. You will report to our Business Development Lead, who is based in Europe and coaches you daily during the US morning.
You will hand your meetings to an experienced Account Executive, and you will work directly with our US-based CEO on key accounts. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys proactive outreach, is confident initiating conversations with new prospects, and wants to build a market rather than just work a list, while developing their B2B SaaS sales skills in complex enterprise sales within an ambitious technology company.
Why Build Your Sales Career at Vimachem Build a market from the ground up: You will be the first US-based member of our sales team, and the pipeline you create will shape how we grow in the US. Work directly with the CEO: Work closely with our US-based CEO on key accounts and see how enterprise deals are won from the inside. Learn enterprise SaaS sales: Gain hands-on experience in prospecting, qualification, and complex B2B sales with GxP-regulated manufacturers.
Work alongside experienced professionals: Collaborate closely with our BD Lead, Account Executives, solution consultants, and company leadership. Differentiated platform: Represent an AI-enabled MES solution combining MES, IIoT, and Pharma 4.0 capabilities. Career development: Build a strong foundation to grow into an Account Executive role as we expand our US team. What Will You Do as a Business Development Representative Identify and research potential customers within the pharmaceutical, biotech, and CDMO manufacturing industries across the US.
Proactively generate new business opportunities through outbound prospecting, with a strong emphasis on daily cold calling, personalized emails, LinkedIn outreach, and other relevant channels. Initiate conversations with new prospects and key decision-makers across manufacturing, operations, quality, IT, and digital transformation functions. Consistently execute outbound outreach activities to build and maintain a healthy pipeline of qualified opportunities.
