About this role
AREA OF CONSIDERATION: This position is in the Excepted Federal Civil Service "under the authority of 32 U.S.C. 709", and is open to Category 1: All permanent/indefinite (T32 and T5) technicians employed by the agency Category 3: All current military members of the Florida National Guard; and Category 4: All individuals who qualify for membership in the Florida National Guard and are willing to become T32 Dual Status technicians.
First consideration will be given to Category 1. PCS: Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs, MAY be authorized. Authorization for payment of PCS expenses will be granted ONLY after determination is made that payment is in the best interest of the Florida National Guard. Recruitment Incentive: May be paid to the candidate who is "newly appointed" into this federal government position. The bonus will be NTE USD 10,000.
Payment will be a lump sum payment at the beginning of employment. The candidate must agree in writing to remain in this position for a minimum of 12 months, and if they vacate that position for another technician, AGR or active-duty service position within the initial 12-month period, the Incentive may be recouped. Current onboard technicians, if selected, are not eligible for this bonus. Recruitment / Relocation: Incentive MAY be authorized.

Military Grades: Officers / Enlisted: E7 thru O3 NOTE: Must accomplish Financial Management Certification Level Two within 24 months of employment. GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Must have experience, education, or training involving skills in applying problem solving techniques; and skills in communicating effectively both orally and in writing; ability to plan and organize work; competencies in analysis, research, writing, and judgment typically gained through college education or progressively responsible experiences; ability to follow established methods and procedures; use practical knowledge of the operations, procedures, and policies of specific program areas or functional assignment.
