You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: planning, directing, and managing budgetary administration activities in the formulation, presentation and justification to secure budgetary resources; formulating, presenting and justifying secure budgetary resources; overseeing of subordinates engaged in program planning, analysis, procedural and technical aspects of budget administration activities; providing financial management, technical assistance, and problem solving advice as well as providing advice on the financial implication of various policies, directives, regulations; performing a full range of supervisory and personnel management responsibilities for assigned subordinates; and exercising effective communication skills by providing presentations, briefings and reports of all financial management responsibilities.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Accountability Customer Service Decisiveness Flexibility Interpersonal Skills Problem Solving Resilience Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).
