BUDGET ANALYST (T32)

MILITARY REQUIREMENTS: This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military grade in the Alabama Army National Guard. GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Education, or training involving skills in applying problem solving techniques; and skills in communicating effectively both orally and in writing.

Ability to plan and organize work. Competencies in analysis, research, writing, and judgment typically gained through college education or progressively responsible experiences. Ability to follow established methods and procedures; use practical knowledge of the operations, procedures, and policies of specific program areas or functional assignment. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have 1 year equivalent specialized experience to at least the next lower grade level before being eligible for the next grade level.

Must have fundamental working experiences with validated understanding of the basic principles and concepts of the budget analysis occupational series and grade. 1-year specialized experience, education, or training equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. Must have experience, education, or training of finance budget competencies that provided knowledge of financial principles and procedures. Candidate must have a good understanding of the basic principles and concepts of the National Guard financial budget business program requirements.

A candidate must have experiences and training that demonstrate the abilities to follow directions, to read, retain, and understand a variety of instructions, regulations, policies, and procedures. SKILL AND KNOWLEDGE: -- Knowledge of the makeup, operation, and installation of a variety of systems, assemblies, and surfaces is required. -- Knowledge to determine when new surfaces, assemblies, and systems should be installed, or repaired through replacement of new parts and components.
