Budget Analyst

About this role

To qualify for a Budget Analyst position, your resume and supporting documentation must support: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in, or related to, this position. To qualify for the NH-04 level, specialized experience must be at the NH-03 or GS-13 grade level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector.

Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes: Developing, implementing, reviewing, and maintaining policies and procedures across the DCMA business base within the incumbent's area of functional expertise and determining the impact of new or revised policies and procedures on DCMA functional areas.

Supporting the DCMA budget execution in all matters related to reimbursable/FMS/SA. Optimizing and assisting in the management of DCMA end-strength (ES)/full-time equivalents (FTEs) for reimbursable/FMS/SA. Reviewing final DCMA budget submissions to ensure accuracy, attending hearings to defend budget submissions, preparing justifications/defenses of DCMA budget positions, preparing reclamas to Congressional marks. Integrating the reimbursable, FMS, and SA budget formulation and execution into the DCMA performance Planning, Programming, Budgeting and Execution (PPBE) process.
