About this role

To qualify for the Budget Analyst position at the GS-14, you must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement. Minimum Qualifications Specialized experience is demonstrated experience, which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of this position. Experience must be in the normal line of progression or must be related to the work of the position advertised and must be reflected in resume.

To qualify for this position at the GS-14 grade level, candidates must meet the following specialized experience by the closing date of this announcement .EXPERIENCE: Candidates must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-13) (obtained in either the public or private sectors). This experience must include all of the following: Serves as an advisor to top management officials regarding budget guidelines and processes.

Issues instructions as to data required for formulation of plans and budgets. Participates in program planning to ensure an integrated budget and planning process; AND Develops budget estimates and ensures proper balance among operating programs. Participates in planning and coordinating budget presentation activities. Ensures the completeness and adequacy of support data and consistency of testimony with statements of past years; AND Monitors budget execution for substantive programs by analyzing costs, benefits and trends in obligation and expenditures, and recommends actions to improve cost effectiveness.
