EU remote
Avionics AIT Manager
About this role
Help Build Europe's Hypersonic Capability At Hypersonica , we’re redefining what’s possible in European defence technology. We exist to deliver speed, resilience, and technological independence at a pace that sets a new standard. We are a small, elite team working on problems that matter, and solving them fast. By joining Hypersonica , you’re not stepping into a predefined role. You’re joining a talent dense environment where every individual shapes the direction of the company.
Our philosophy is to hire a small number of exceptional people with broad, deep technical capability, strong judgement, and the ability to operate autonomously. We hire for talent, not rigid boxes. This role represents a business need, but the way it evolves will be shaped by the individual. If you’ve achieved what others said was impossible, or you bring a unique combination of skills that doesn’t fit a traditional mould, we want to hear from you.
The work you do here directly contributes to Europe’s technological independence. What you'll do Own Avionics Assembly, Integration, and Test (AIT) delivery, ensuring avionics hardware is built, integrated, and verified correctly from component level through vehicle integration. Develop avionics assembly, integration, and test procedures directly from requirements and engineering drawings. Translate design intent into clear, executable build instructions, defining tooling, torque specifications, parts, consumables, work sequences, and verification steps.
Define and maintain avionics wiring, harness, and pinout diagrams, ensuring correct electrical interfaces and configuration control. Develop and own avionics assembly procedures for components, sub‑assemblies, and vehicle‑level integration. Create and execute avionics test procedures, validating functionality, interfaces, and readiness prior to higher‑level integration. Ensure avionics AIT activities meet quality, reliability, and safety standards, suitable for aerospace and defence environments.
Work closely with avionics design, systems, and vehicle AIT teams to resolve integration issues and close design‑for‑integration gaps. Identify and ensure availability of tools, fixtures, consumables, and test equipment required to support build and integration activities. Support production of consistent, repeatable avionics builds by enforcing process discipline and configuration control. Own avionics‑related non‑conformance identification, documentation, and resolution, feeding lessons learned back into design and process updates.
