🚀 What's the opportunity? As Assistant Manager, you’ll be at the heart of the management team, working closely with the General Manager to drive the pub forward and deliver brilliant experiences for our customers . You’ll be a visible leader on the floor, helping to create a positive atmosphere for both customers and the team. You’ll have the opportunity to: Support the General Manager with the day-to-day running of the pub and lead the business in their absence.

Lead from the front, setting the standard for great service, hospitality and customer experiences . Motivate, coach and develop the team, helping everyone to perform at their best. Take ownership of your shifts and confidently make decisions when things get busy. Help build on our recent investment and identify opportunities to grow the business . Drive sales across our food, drinks, events and live sport offer. Help maximise the pub’s entertainment, including live music and events .

Build strong relationships with our customers and help develop the Golden Hind’s reputation within the local community. Champion high standards across service, food, cleanliness, safety and compliance . Bring energy, ideas and enthusiasm to the pub and help make the most of this exciting next chapter. You’ll ideally have: Previous experience in an Assistant Manager, Supervisor, Team Leader or similar hospitality leadership role . Experience working in a busy pub, restaurant, bar or hospitality environment. A passion for creating great customer experiences and building relationships with guests. Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team. The confidence to take ownership and lead a busy shift.

A hands-on approach – you’ll be happy getting stuck in alongside your team. A commercial mindset and an eye for opportunities to drive sales and grow the business .
