Asset Management Officer

About this role

We’re recruiting for an Asset Management Officer to join our Affordable Homes business, responsible for maintaining accurate, complete and auditable asset, component and performance data throughout the property lifecycle. The role coordinates stock condition survey activity, assures component data, manages data uploads and lifecycle updates, and produces performance information that enables effective repairs, compliance and long-term investment decisions.

What you’ll be doing: Maintaining accurate, auditable asset, component and lifecycle data, ensuring alignment with agreed standards, quality controls and regulatory requirements Validating and enhancing asset information from developers, contractors, Management Providers, surveyors and other partners, resolving data gaps, duplication and inconsistencies Coordinating the end-to-end stock condition survey programme, overseeing survey delivery, quality assurance, data acceptance and the accurate recording of survey outputs Managing component lifecycle assumptions, replacement forecasts and investment data, updating records to reflect repairs, servicing, planned works and asset performance Producing and analysing asset management reports, dashboards and insights, identifying trends, risks and opportunities to support decision-making and portfolio optimisation Collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders to improve data quality, strengthen system controls, enhance reporting capabilities and support business objectives Supporting repairs, compliance and customer outcomes by maintaining accurate records, identifying recurring issues and escalating data concerns that may impact safety, compliance or service delivery Contributing to governance, assurance and continuous improvement activities, maintaining audit evidence, supporting policy development, promoting inclusive practices and ensuring compliance with organisational standards Who we’re looking for: Working knowledge of social or affordable housing, repairs and maintenance, property compliance and the regulatory environment Experience of maintaining, validating and analysing large or complex datasets Experience of producing clear performance reports, dashboards or management information and explaining data quality issues Strong practical knowledge of Microsoft 365, particularly Excel, and confidence using databases, asset systems and reporting tools Experience of social or affordable housing stock condition surveys, asset data capture or planned investment data (desirable) Knowledge of component specifications, lifecycle planning, replacement costs, energy efficiency, retrofit or major works programmes Experience of working with developers, Management Providers, residential property managers, surveyors, contractors or proptech suppliers Whatever your role, we reward performance and behaviour with a package that looks after all the things that are important to you.
