Application Architect
About this role
Anticipated Contract End Date/Length: 6 months Work Set Up: Hybrid (3 days per week onsite, 2 days remote) Clearance Required: BPSS Our client in the Information Technology and Services industry is looking for an Application Architect to support complex applications within a workspace technology portfolio. The role will serve as the technical point of contact for application support and future development, requiring a deep understanding of application and infrastructure components across messaging, logging, security, identity, cloud, SaaS, compute, storage, networking, and databases.
What you will do: Act as the technical point of contact for complex applications, interfacing with customer and technology stakeholders. Develop a complete understanding of the architecture supporting complex workspace applications. Review and maintain architectural and operational documentation. Maintain a catalogue of application integrations with external technologies. Assess cyber, identity, and external security technology requirements across applications.
Manage inter-application dependencies for data transfers, messaging, events, and related services. Coordinate with application administrators and technical specialists across interconnected technology areas. Assess infrastructure dependencies across cloud, SaaS, compute, storage, networking, and database technologies. Ensure compliance with required security policies and standards. Develop and manage patching strategies across the full technology stack.
Manage upgrade strategies and activities across the full technology stack. Support incident and problem management, including root cause analysis and remediation activities. Maintain future application roadmaps in line with customer business requirements. Collaborate with business users and technology specialists to ensure effective stakeholder engagement and service delivery. Bring extensive experience across End User, Workplace, and Collaboration environments.
Possess extensive experience with Windows Enterprise environments and associated tooling. Bring strong experience with Windows Operating Systems and familiarity with Linux. Possess experience designing and supporting complex application architectures across multiple technology components. Bring experience with application deployment technologies and integration catalogues. Possess strong knowledge of application protocols and inter-application dependencies.
