AI Solutions & Process Automation Trainee for Global Procurement & Supply Chain

About this role

Overall Purpose of Job: The AI Solutions & Process Automation Trainee for Global Procurement & Supply Chain role congtributes to the KOSTAL AI and digitalization roadmap for Procurement & Supply Chain. It supports the development, implementation and continuous improvement of AI-driven solutions and process automations that enhance efficiency, knowledge management and digitalization across Procurement & Supply Chain. It is a fixed-term contract for one year in a hybrid work arrangement.

Main tasks, roles and responsibilities : Contribute to the development and implementation of the AI and digitalization roadmap for Procurement & Supply Chain. Analyze existing processes and identify suitable AI use cases to improve efficiency, automate activities and strengthen knowledge management. Develop, test and continuously improve AI-based prototypes and workflows, such as assistants, chatbots, automations and AI agents.

Support the integration of AI solutions into existing processes, systems and data sources, including through APIs and low-code/no-code platforms. Track, evaluate and document AI initiatives, and communicate solutions and best practices through presentations, guidelines, training sessions and workshops. Experiences and requirements: Currently enrolled in Business Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science, Industrial Engineering or a comparable degree program.

Good German and English language skills Required Skills and Competencies: Strong interest in generative AI, large language models, AI agents, process automation and digitalization. Initial practical experience with AI technologies and tools, such as ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, OpenAI APIs, LangChain or comparable solutions. Basic programming and interface skills, ideally in Python or JavaScript and working with REST APIs; experience with low-code/no-code solutions is an advantage.
