About the Job: We’re hiring a Senior Backend Software Engineer to design, build, and maintain the server-side systems that power our products—and to lead a small team of developers. You’ll own APIs, services, and data layers while mentoring intermediate engineers, guiding technical decisions, and pushing the product forward in a fast-paced environment. This role is about delivering: shipping product features on tight schedules without sacrificing quality.

Responsibilities Design, build, and maintain backend services, APIs, and databases Deliver product features on tight schedules and drive the product roadmap forward Lead and mentor a small team of intermediate developers, providing guidance and code reviews Set technical direction and uphold code quality, architecture, and best practices Write clean, testable, well-documented code Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and reliability Collaborate with frontend engineers, product, and design to deliver features Requirements Strong programming skills in one or more backend languages (e.g.

Python, Go, Java, Node.js) Experience designing and building RESTful or GraphQL APIs Solid understanding of databases (SQL and/or NoSQL) and data modeling Proven ability to deliver quality work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced setting Prior experience mentoring or leading developers Familiarity with version control, testing, and CI/CD practices Comfortable using AI-assisted development tools (e.g. GitHub Copilot, Claude) to boost productivity Nice to Have Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
