Ad Hoc Senior Video/Animation Designer

Anticipated Contract End Date/Length: 3 months with possibility to extend (Sept - Nov) Work Setup: Remote, Ad hoc projects (approx. 7-10 hours per week) Our client who is a leader in world-class workforce solutions is looking for an Ad hoc Senior Video/Animation Designer to support video and animation design projects. The Video designer will support promotional demo and videos for a launch of a new company platform. The successful candidate will be creating short demo videos, animated snippets, mock platform experiences, and marketing-focused video content.
This Video Designer will work independently and translate existing UI/UX and Figma designs into engaging, editable video and animation assets. What you will do: Create short, approximately 15-second, video and animation assets for technology platform launches and marketing initiatives. Develop demo videos and on-screen technology content supporting the major conference launch planned for the end of September. Animate existing UI/UX designs and Figma files to showcase platform functionality and create engaging visual demonstrations.
Build mock platforms and simulated platform experiences when live product interfaces are not available or suitable for video production. Translate scripts into visual sequences, determining where stock footage, screen recordings, animations, and platform snippets should be incorporated. Produce marketing-focused video snippets using stock footage, screen captures, and demonstrations of platform functionality. Collaborate with the team to understand how the platforms work and determine the most effective ways to communicate functionality visually.
Work independently on quick-turnaround, ad hoc projects while maintaining editable source files for continued use and updates. Use Figma and Adobe Creative Suite and suitable video/animation design tools to create, animate, and refine video and motion design assets. Assist with other ad hoc video/animation design projects as needed. Mid-to-senior-level experience as a Video, Motion and/or Animation Designer. Demonstrate strong experience creating short-form video, motion graphics, animation, and marketing focused visual content.
Demonstrate proficiency with Figma is strongly preferred as well as Adobe Creative Suite and other video/animation tools. Bring experience animating UI/UX designs, Figma files, mockups, or digital product interfaces. Demonstrate the ability to create editable video and animation files for continued collaboration and future updates. Bring strong visual storytelling skills and the ability to translate scripts and product functionality into concise video content.
