ACQUISITION PROGRAM MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST
About this role
This is a GG-07 target GG-12 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-12 duties for the "Professional" work category are at the "Full Performance" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-12 level. The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job. The job can only be filled at Entry/Developmental or Full Performance level when selections are made.
This position is a developmental position and will be filled at the GG-07, GG-09 or GG12 level with promotion potential to the GG-12. The individual selected for this position may be promoted to the target level without further competition upon meeting any legal and regulatory requirements. To qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements describes in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative Management Positions.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position. Examples of creditable experience include applying Comprehensive knowledge of the principles, policies, legal requirements, and practices of systems acquisition and program management to plan, organize, and manage critical aspects of the development, production, and/or deployment of systems, subsystems, and equipment that are within state-of-the-art but require significant application of new principles; knowledge of the activities and purpose of functional support personnel and ability to coordinate such aspects of systems acquisition as engineering, contracting, program control, configuration, test, manufacturing, and integrated logistics support to effectively implement program management and direction; and knowledge of the missions, roles, functions, organizational structures, and operation of the DoD, Air Force, and user commands that govern, interface with, and/or influence the systems acquisition process and integrated life-cycle management.
