ACCOUNTANT

About this role

In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applying knowledge of accounting principles, theories, procedures and applications to identify and resolve a wide variety of accounting problems and issues; 2) Examining accounting documents, records, reports, and processes to determine the action required to maintain the integrity of financial information; 3) Applying analytical and evaluative methods and techniques to issues or studies concerning the efficiency and effectiveness of operations; 4) Utilizing knowledge of cost accounting requirements and all related financial systems and feeder systems and associated financial reports; 5) Gathering, assembling, consolidating, and analyzing financial data and drawing conclusions; and 6) Analyzing financial reports and transactions to identify complex system problems and informational needs to resolve a variety of problems/issues related to accounting operations.
