We are seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to join our growing engineering team and help drive operational efficiency through intelligent automation solutions. In this role, you will design, build, maintain, and optimize business-critical automations across a diverse technology ecosystem. The ideal candidate has strong Python skills, hands-on experience with Power Automate, and a passion for eliminating manual processes through scalable automation solutions.
This position offers an opportunity to work directly with business stakeholders, modernize legacy automation platforms, and influence the future direction of our automation strategy while leveraging AI-assisted development practices and cloud-native technologies. As an Automation Engineer , you will be responsible for developing and supporting automation solutions that streamline business operations and improve reliability across multiple systems and platforms.
Approximately 70% of your time will focus on designing and building new Python-based automations, including API integrations, data processing workflows, scheduled jobs, and process optimization initiatives. The remaining 30% will involve supporting and modernizing the existing Power Automate environment, ensuring business-critical workflows remain operational while identifying opportunities for migration to more scalable solutions.
You will own the full lifecycle of the automation solutions you build, from development and deployment to monitoring, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Build new automations in Python: API integrations, data pipelines, scheduled jobs, and process replacements scoped with operating partners. Maintain the existing Power Automate estate, both unattended cloud and desktop flows. Triage failures, repair flows, and keep unattended runs healthy on the bot-server farm.
Operate the Power Platform space around them: environments, solutions, connection references, and pipeline-managed deployments. Migrate Power Automate flows to Python where the economics favor it. Retire flows rather than patching them indefinitely. Integrate systems over REST APIs. Handle JSON and XML transformation, authentication (OAuth, service principals), and error handling that survives flaky endpoints. Author SQL queries, tables, and stored procedures that support automations.
