About the role and team Uber's Strategic Finance team sits at the center of the business with visibility into our global operations and the financial data needed to surface insights others can't. We partner closely with cross-functional teams to shape financial planning, track the metrics that matter, drive efficiency, and influence product and business decisions. Interning in Strategic Finance at Uber means moving beyond traditional accounting to solve complex, real-world problems that impact millions of users.
You will navigate massive datasets and high-stakes ambiguity to turn financial and operational data into actionable insights that others might miss. As a Strategic Finance Intern, you'll support one of Uber's high-growth businesses, using data and financial insight to help leadership prioritize what matters most. What you'll do Shape Financial Planning: Drive forecasting, reporting, and strategic analysis for one of Uber's global business lines (Mobility or Delivery).
Think Strategically: Apply business judgment and financial insight to evaluate new initiatives, product launches, and growth opportunities. Build Financial Models: Construct dynamic financial models from scratch, optimize existing frameworks, and deconstruct complex data into actionable insights. Drive Operational Excellence: Support high-impact initiatives that help streamline and scale operations from startup speed to enterprise scale.
Partner Across Teams: Collaborate closely with Accounting to refine management reporting, analyze monthly actuals, and align financial storytelling. Master Data Analysis: Get hands-on with SQL and AI to extract raw data and build detailed analyses to understand key business drivers. Basic Qualifications Currently enrolled in a Masters program in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. Minimum 1 year of involvement in extracurricular groups, leadership activities, or previous internship opportunities.
